A female in her 70s underwent right lobectomy in another hospital 8 years earlier. Pathological diagnosis was papillary carcinoma,and her course was followed up. She was referred to our hospital due to swelling of the entire thyroid gland.A hard mass (8 cm in diameter) was palpable.
